Foreign Program

At the AGBU Schools we strive to inspire our children to become effective, enthusiastic, independent and lifelong learners. Our unique curriculum is based on the Lebanese National Curriculum, but it is modified to include international and Armenian affairs and studies, and is often personalized to meet the specific needs and interests of our children.

The curriculum is also innovative and concept-based. This ensures children are provided with multiple opportunities to develop their knowledge, as well as understanding and mastery of competencies, skills and abilities. Lessons are structured to encourage critical thinking, teamwork and collaboration, while also fostering ownership and engagement.

The main curriculum is further enriched by the study of Armenian language, Armenian History and Religion, which immerses our learners in their own heritage and culture, enhances their problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, improves their concentration and their ability to multitask.

  Foreign Program

The Foreign Program allows leaners who carry foreign (Non-Lebanese) passports to be exempted from subjects taught in Arabic and from the comprehensive exams set by the Lebanese Ministry of Education. These leaners study all other subjects included in the Lebanese Baccalaureate Program, and in Grade 11, they choose a focus on either socio-economics or the sciences, and then specialize in their third and final year. Per the Lebanese official policy, these students can enroll in freshman classes of different Lebanese or foreign universities.
